How do I scan a document?

The library has three types of scanning options available.

  • You can scan using the printers and photocopiers.  The scanning is free.  The default is to send the scan by email to your pacific.edu or u.pacific.edu email address; however, you can also scan to a USB key.  Please note that email limits the attachment size to 10MBs, and all scans are images.
  • We have two book scanners in the library (one located in the administrative alcove and one in the print room). The scanning is free.  You can scan to a USB key or log into a limited number of online accounts (Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and Google personal accounts).  You can scan as images, OCR, or MP3 files.
  • We have two small scanners attached to computers in the reference area.  The scanning is free, and you will need to bring a USB key or email any scans to yourself.  Please remember to delete your scans from the computer once you have finished.
